If you are familiar with a Raytech-Shaw faceting machine, the hand wheel under the platten table rises and lowers the table. But do you know how much one complete revolution of the hand wheel rises or lowers the platten table? One complete revolution moves the table height .080″ ( mm). So a quarter of one turn is .020″ and so an eighth of one turn is .010″
